Secret Sister Gifts From Me 6

Gifts from Amy, from Me
This CD case and note holder was made with the Clementine Paper Pack. I created the card with the Florentine Paper. I added Paper Flowers to the card.

I sanded the edges of the CD case and created little pull out for notes. I embellished it with Canvas Complements as well as the Rosette Ribbon.

I added some Antique Metal Embellishments and well and finished everything off with a little ribbon.

Twin's Invite - Recipe Cards

For the Girls' Birthday this year we decided on a Cooking & Kitchen theme. Therefore, I made these Recipe Card Invites for them. They are created using the Cherry O paper pack, stamps, and the Cricut Artiste Cartridge.

And a Bonus Layout!

Secret Sister Gifts From Me 5

Gifts for Amy from Me
Since Amy said she liked hanging with her girlfriends, I created this little photo album for her. I added the Florentine Paper, some Stickease, a little ribbon, and the Paper Flowers along with the Twitterpated Chipboard Buttons.

The card was from my stash. I had made it for a blog hop. You can read more about it here:

I went with another easy day since Amy says she likes to travel, I gave her another Steampunk Card, and then a travel stamp set, and a chocolate bar wrapped in Florentine.

Secret Sister Gifts From Me 3

For this gift, I went easy and used some of the items I had made in the past. I've included a Steampunk card I taught at Gen Con last year and well as the You & Me mini album I created.

February Stickease Use Your Stash

If you are joining us for the "Use Your Stash Blog Hop" in Febraury you are right on track. This month we are showcasing Stickease. So WELCOME! You should be coming from Judy Faye's Blog.
There are 7 participants this month. If you get lost along the way you can see the entire list of hoppers on below. Let's get started.
  1. Judy Faye Garner -
  2. Rachel Ventura -
  3. Janet McCormick -
  4. Joy McHargue -
  5. Shirley Ross -
  6. Wendy Kessler -
  7. Tabbi Fritz -
So I have a lot of stickease and complements left over and I pair them up with their respective paper packs as seen here.

Another nice trick is to pop up your stickease. Add your 3D foam tape (but leave the backing on). Then sprinkle baby powder on the back to block the adhesive. rub it in and hit off the excess. Now remove the backing to the foam tape and pop up like I did below.

I started going through the left overs but instead of just using the stickease I tried to use up the paper as well. I have found the fastest way to do this is to make cards, especially 3x3 cards because it is so easy.

The trick to 3x3 cards is having the right amount of embellishments.  You can see below some of the cards are fancier than others but the ones that only have the stickers are pretty boring. I will most likely go back and add some accents before I sue them :)

I've had these stickease for a long time and finally using them up, YAY! The cards turned out cute. I've added in a few non stickease cards that I made just to finish off the paper pack.

Here are my favorites though. La Belle Vie! I even cut out the remainder part of the stamp stickease and used those to create mock postage stamps. I only had a few stickease of this pack left because I liked them so much when I made my layouts.

Border Stickers are always the hardest for me to use up. I have found that if you have large piece of pattern paper then you can create this easy layout with 6x6 paper and place the border stickease right over the seem making a cleaner finish to the project.

I hope these projects have given you some ideas of how you can use up your extra stickease!  Now hop on over to Janet's Blog for more ideas of using up your stash.

Secret Sister Gifts From Me 2

Gift #2 to Amy from Me
 3x3 card made from scraps
This little purse I made with the Cricut Artiste Cartridge. I added a Stickease from Bella and some Pretty Pins. I then added a little velcro and wrapped the whole handle in baker's twine. This last part took me forever. But the rest of the purse was very simple to make!

I sponged this My Creation Milkcrate first with Smokey Plum. I then added Avonlea paper to it and decorated the whole thing with Paper Flowers, Chipboard buttons, Bakers Twine, Rosette Ribbon, and the Velvet Rub-ons. I filled it with Chocolate Covered Pretzels :)
