Today I am showcasing the new Burlap Ribbon! One of the first things I created was this headband
I first measured the length I needed for my head then sewed the burlap together.
I created a ribbon flower for the topped. You can find instructions to create one here. Here I have used the Slate Satin Polk-Dot ribbon and the Boutique Assortment.
You'll sew on your ribbon flower to the band.
My next project is a layout that I created a hidden picture using the burlap. I put four strips down and then added the photo mat to the center.
I then closed up the burlap layering the flaps every other and tucking in the last one. I used a clasp from the Antique Gold Mini Medley.
In the lower corner I added some burlap behind the stamped pocket from the Dakota WOTG and embelished with the bling assortment and the paper clip clasp again.
Here is the other side of the layout. I used the burlap as an accent.
Here is the blow up of the accent cluster I created for the other side.
On this care I took the burlap apart and used the strips as a type of ribbon. I also used the new Cricut Artiste Cartridge and the matching chipboard.
The card below I cut the bottom part of the burlap off and fringed it out about halfway up.
I then used a second generation stamp on the paisley.
Last I did a rock and roll technique on the Paisley Flair stamp set.
I hope this has given you some ideas of how to use the new Burlap Ribbon. Now "Hop" on over to Beth'sBlog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!
