Technique Blog Hop: Glitter Glitz Gel

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop! If you are coming from Cherri's Blog, you are on the right track!

This month there are 13 of us highlighting the “Glitter Glitz Gel” Technique as shown on page 35 in the Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book! This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique. If you would like to start from the beginning, please visit DEBI BARBER'S BLOG. While there you will also find a listing of all participants and their blog addresses if you should get lost or want to reference a blog along the way. Let’s get started!

So first I wanted to just play around a little with the Glitz Glitter Gel so I made this sparkly butterfly using a Flutter

Next I made these stars. They were easy so I made a bunch of them. I used the Milestone Corrugated Cardboard and applied the top stripes first. Then I went back with the second color and filled in the grooves.

Next I stamped on our Stamp-able Canvas Buttons then decorated with some glitz gel.

This gave me the idea to create ornaments for the Christmas Tree. So I stamped the same image on two buttons and added some glitz glitter. Then I created a ruffle and stuck it between the two buttons along with some Sassy Strands and Bling Pins. I added some glitter on the ruffles to complete the project.

Last I received a swap card a while back that had these little snowman with glitter so I thought I would create my own version of it. I applied Glitz glitter to after I stamped it and colored it in. I used 4 different colors and used the glitz as if it was a marker. Then I let it dry.

Thanks for stopping by! Please continue onto Tabbi's Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique! Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!

Here are a few more projects with Glitz!
