Create a Hat or Coat Pin

Start with a base, in this example I used a Just Blooms Paper Flower. I took a 2 x 8 strip of B&T paper and folded it back and forth in uneven increments to create a ruffles and added this to the back of the flower. I inked the edges too. To secure I poked a hole using my piercing tool and added a shimmer brad with a metal tag.
Leave the whole assembly on the foam pad while working. Next I cut a heart from the Pink Ribbon Collection and attached it with a large shimmer brad using the technique above.

I then used some pieces of 3D foam tape to layer a smaller flower on top of the brads and base.

I added pretty pins directly to the artwork by sticking them through the 3D foam tape on the underside of the small flower.
Then I added a bling button to the top after threading it with waxy flax. I attached the button to the flower using a glue dot.
I cut a small piece of B&T paper and wrote the year for next year's Convention on it. Lastly I added some bitty sparkles to the ruffles as well as one to the pretty pin flower to complete this artwork. When I was all finished I turned the pad over pealed it off and spread the brads to secure.
